iFLYER 8 Is Live: Japan's iFLYER Marks 20 Years With a Ground-Up Rebuild
Public preview is open now at iflyer8.com. Full migration to iFLYER 8 launches September 8, 2026, marking the platform's 20th anniversary, with all existing accounts carried over.
77hz, Ltd., the company behind iFLYER, has rebuilt one of Japan's longest-running event information platforms from the ground up. Since its launch in 2006, iFLYER has focused on connecting people with real-world experiences across music, culture and nightlife. iFLYER 8 carries that same mission forward on an entirely new technology platform, built for the next generation of iFLYER.
Rebuilt from the ground up, with the same commitment to connecting people and places
iFLYER 8 is more than a visual redesign. The technology behind the platform has been rebuilt from the ground up. Over the past 20 years, iFLYER has built one of Japan's largest event databases, with more than 340,000 events listed across the country.
iFLYER 8 brings that history and data onto a new technology foundation while remaining fully bilingual in Japanese and English. It also provides a new foundation for iFLYER's continued commitment to the people behind Japan's music, nightlife and cultural scenes, from artists, venues and promoters to the audiences who attend their events.
Key features of iFLYER 8
Existing accounts carry over, with Google Sign-In now available Existing users can continue to access iFLYER with their current accounts, with no need to register again. Google Sign-In is also now available, providing an additional and easier way to create an account and log in.

Redesigned event, artist, venue and promoter pages Event, artist, venue and promoter pages have all been redesigned to make information clearer and the platform easier to navigate.
More than 340,000 events, with full Japanese and English support iFLYER 8 brings together more than 340,000 event listings accumulated since 2006, making it one of Japan's largest event databases. The platform remains fully bilingual in Japanese and English.
iFLYER 8 is the foundation for the platform's next stage of development. New features and tools for venues, promoters and festivals will continue to be introduced after launch.
"Twenty years ago, iFLYER solved a simple problem: finding out what was happening in your city. That made us Japan's biggest event listing. But the world has changed, people don't just need information anymore, they need connection. iFLYER8 isn't only about what's happening, it's about where to go and who to meet. Step away from the feed, and go find real culture, real music, real people. That's never mattered more than it does right now." — Malek Nasser, CEO, Founder, iFLYER.tv
